A feature length documentary captured not only the atmosphere, but also what was going on behind the scenes, and the main programme of the festival of silent films accompanied by live music, which was organized by the Czech association NEXT PICTURE in cooperation with INTERNATIONAL VIŠEGRAD FUND. The festival took place in the Serbian Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, in Bački Petrovac.

The war, its origin and its course was also the subject of the workshop for the film professionals. Workshop, which was guided by a Czech actor and director Boris Hybner, was focused on the language of the silent film and its usage when dealing with current topics. The workshop has produced 5 short silent films, which also reflect the main subject of the festival – coping with the war.

Silent films represented the core of the programe of this festival. Each of them was accompanied by original live music, interpreted by the bands coming from all republics of ex-Yugoslavia and also from the V4 countries.

The subject of discussions, which were held between the participants of the festival, musicians, journalists and visitors, was how we all cope with the legacy of the war, which raged in the Balkans 20 years ago.
